# Carousel Ads

This page shows you how to create carousel ads and when to use them

A carousel ad promotes up to 10 events in a single ad that people scroll through. Use it to promote several upcoming shows at once.

## How to set up a carousel ad

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Go to the [Ads](https://manager.cymbal.co/ads) tab.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Select **Create**, then select **Carousel** in the dropdown.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Choose the goal of the campaign: **Ticket sales** or **Awareness**. See [Ticket Sales vs Awareness](https://docs.cymbal.co/help/ads/creating-meta-ads-campaign/ticket-sales-vs-awareness).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Select up to **10 events**. The order you select them in is the order they appear in your ad.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Preview the ad on the right using the built-in scroll bar. Use the dropdown at the top to preview it on Facebook or Instagram.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
When you're finished editing, select **Launch** in the top right.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

Your carousel ad is now live.

{% hint style="info" %}
If your carousel ad doesn't have its own link, it uses the first card's link. Cymbal adds the same UTM tags to that link as it does for your other Meta ads, so carousel traffic is tracked the same way.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you choose **Ticket sales**, make sure you have a conversion pixel set up. Otherwise the campaign will fail. See [Missing Conversion Pixel](https://docs.cymbal.co/help/ads/troubleshooting/missing-conversion-pixel).
{% endhint %}
