# Lookalike Audiences

Think of a Lookalike Audience as a “copy” of your customers.

If there is a tag in Cymbal that you want to target, you can also target other customers who “look like” the people in that tagged group. Meta uses a complex algorithm to identify individuals who share similar interests, followers, likes, shares, or posts with the audience defined by your tag.

Meta’s algorithm then finds new people whose interests are similar to those of your tagged audience but who are not yet familiar with your brand. You are essentially saying, “Find me more people like these.”

Its a great way to expand reach and help improve conversions.
