# Auto Supressing Contacts

Automatically suppress contacts that have stopped interacting with your campaigns and buying tickets.

This focuses your outreach on active users and helps lower your monthly costs. Auto suppression may take some time to affect subscriptions depending on your mailing frequency. For example, if you send a newsletter once a week, it may take up to 5 months for auto suppression to identify inactive contacts.
