# How are Events Synced with my Ticketer?

How Cymbal pulls events from your ticketer, how often sync runs around showtime, and how to refresh right away.

When you first connect your ticketing provider, Cymbal automatically pulls in your past and current event data. This first sync can take a couple of hours.

After that, Cymbal keeps events up to date on a schedule:

* About every **10 minutes** from **6 hours before** the event starts until **6 hours after** it starts
* Then about **hourly** until **24 hours after** start
* Outside that window, Cymbal continues regular syncs (about hourly for new and updated events)

## How to sync new events right away
