# Launch a Drop

### What are drops?

A **Drop** is a time-locked, high-urgency release of a ticket, product or piece of content designed to drive instant action and capture fan contact data. Core use cases being:

* **Pop-Up & Secret Shows:** Fill under-booked calendar dates or announce last-minute, intimate artist performances that require immediate fan action.
* **Production Hold Releases:** Instantly sell held seats surrounding the stage once physical equipment setups and exact sightlines are confirmed on show day.
* **Low-Ticket Alerts:** Convert lingering fans on your waitlist into buyers by dropping the absolute final remaining tickets for a nearing sell-out event.

### How to build a Drop in Cymbal:

1. Select [Pages & Forms](https://manager.cymbal.co/pages)
2. Select *Create* in the top right corner
3. Select *Drop*

4. Configure the drop settings

5. Your Drop is ready to go! Feel free to adjust the design and content of the automations however you'd like before turning everything live.
