# Adding new tags

Tags allow you to segment your audience for more fine-tuned marketing campaigns.

In order to create new tags:

1. Navigate to [**Tags**](https://manager.cymbal.co/tags):&#x20;
2. Hit the "Create" button in the top right hand corner

3. Click "Create a tag"

4. Give the tag a name and choose either "Standard" or "Dynamic".
   1. Standard - these are static tags that are managed manually by you.
   2. Dynamic - these are tags that are dynamically added to contacts based on a defined search criteria.

5. Hit "Create". You can now use this tag in your marketing campaigns for more fine-tuned targeting.
