# Adding New Tags

This page shows you how to add new tags and better segment your audience

Tags let you segment your audience for more targeted campaigns.

## How to create a tag

Go to the **Audience** → [Tags](https://manager.cymbal.co/tags) tab.

Select **Create** in the top right corner.
{% endstep %}

Select **Create a tag**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Name the tag and choose a type:

* **Standard:** static tags you manage manually.
* **Dynamic:** tags that are added to contacts automatically based on search criteria you define.

Select **Create**.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

You can now use the tag to target your campaigns.
