# Opendate

Connect Cymbal to Opendate, choose which Opendate venues sync, and how confirm/cancel classifications sync as draft and canceled events.

Connect Cymbal to Opendate so events and orders sync into Manager. When you connect, you choose whether Cymbal syncs all of your Opendate venues or only the ones you select.

## How to connect Opendate

Go to [Settings → Integrations](https://manager.cymbal.co/settings/integrations).

Select **Connect with a ticketer**, choose **Opendate**, and on the popup screen select **Get started**.

Enter your Opendate username and password, then select **Connect**.

On **Select Opendate Venues**, pick one or more of your Opendate venues and select **Sync selected venues**, or select **Sync all venues** to bring in every venue.

## How venue selection works

* **Selected venues only.** Cymbal imports only events at the venues you selected, and fan email and SMS opt-ins are counted only for those venues.
* **All venues.** If you choose **Sync all venues**, or don't select any venue, Cymbal syncs every venue on your Opendate account and merges fan opt-ins across them.
* **Where to check.** The Opendate integration card and its detail view in [Settings → Integrations](https://manager.cymbal.co/settings/integrations) list the venues you selected.

## How Opendate event status syncs

Cymbal maps the Opendate calendar classification of each event to an event state in Manager:

| Opendate classification | In Cymbal                   |
| ----------------------- | --------------------------- |
| Confirm                 | Synced as a **draft** event |
| Cancel                  | Marked as **canceled**      |

If you see more Opendate events in draft than you expect, check how those events are classified in Opendate.
