Welcome SMS

Enable and edit the automatic Welcome SMS new subscribers receive when they opt in to text.

Welcome SMS is the automatic text Cymbal can send when someone opts in to SMS for your organization. It is separate from one-off Text campaigns, keyword replies, and SMS automations.

Plans: Welcome SMS is available on Starter and Premium. You need a registered Cymbal phone number first — see Phone Number Registration.

Before you start

Finish SMS setup and phone number registration, and confirm Texts appears in the Manager sidebar.

How to open the Welcome SMS editor

Go to the Texts tab.

Open the Welcome message editor from the Texts hub (shown when SMS is enabled for your organization).

Edit the welcome text your new SMS subscribers should receive.

Save your changes.
